In addition to assisting patients, Open Impacts aims to promote the development, adoption, and utilization of the most effective treatments through innovative research and collaboration with academic, medical, and commercial partners.

3. Eligibility

To use Open Impacts’ services, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent. By using our platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements. If you are providing information on behalf of someone else, you must have their explicit consent and act in accordance with applicable laws regarding data privacy and consent.

Open Impacts collects personal information solely for the purposes of account verification and management. Independent platforms that do not contain any personally identifying information are utilized to collect and store all health-related information. All information will be fully deidentified prior to data analysis, inclusion in datasets, or use in any other research materials.

4.3 Data Usage

Data is at the core of Open Impacts’ mission to provide cancer patients with the most up-to-date and unbiased information on cancer treatments and resources. The primary usage of Open Impacts’ data is to provide the Open Impacts community with insights on treatment efficacy, safety, and impacts to quality of life. Other areas of research are likely to include: identification of optimal treatment locations for different cancer types, treatment cancer subtype analysis, regional variations in cancer subtypes, cancer stage and treatment efficacy, and characterization of long-term survivor behaviors. Open Impacts cannot anticipate or outline every possible use of deidentified datasets. By using Open Impacts, you acknowledge that data may be utilized for analyses outside of those listed here.
